LIQUI MOLY Solutions: Noisy Engine
Diesel Engines are noisy compared to Gasoline engines. They work under a much higher compression than gasoline engines and the way the combustion occurs, contributes to the familiar sound of a Diesel Engine. Under normal conditions whereby the engine is in good operating condition, engine noise can be caused by lack of proper lubrication due to low oil level, low quality oil, wrong oil or old oil.
A thorough motor oil change service is recommended and will eliminate excessive engine noise and reduce normal engine wear.
The use of LIQUI MOLY (pour in oil) anti-friction additives will help to reduce the noise and improve lubrication of the engine.

On Cold Starts, the engine oil which drained down to the sump, needs to be distributed to all parts of the engine for optimum lubrication. Depending on the viscosity of the oil, this can take as much as 48 seconds. During this time in which the engine is running dry, Liqui Moly anti-friction additives will protect the engine from wear.
